STURBRIDGE — The Select Board authorized a 13-month electricity agreement with Constellation Electric at the 100 percent green rate. Robin told the board the 13-month low bid was lowest and that the consultant recommended against locking in longer. A member said the term was annualized at $490,000 versus $505,000 for the longer option, and the green premium was about $11,000.
The board also voted to put about $106,000 in leftover federal ARPA funds into the fire department payroll budget, to offset likely overtime. It appointed Tamara Cullen a part-time dispatcher at $24.72 per hour starting Nov. 3, and approved a Walker Pond salt remediation support letter.
