Select Board · Meeting of October 5, 2026

Sturbridge's Select Board placed 10 articles in support for the Nov. 16 special town meeting. Articles included $350,000 for Dowdy Road MEPA permitting, a battery storage and solar bylaw, and a data center moratorium. The board did not support the Joshua Hyde Public Library article after the one bid exceeded the $500,000 budget; rebids are due Oct. 22.

It approved an $80,000 Tighe & Bond stormwater agreement and a $438,800 Tighe & Bond contract for Stallion Hill water tank design. A speaker said flood-proofing the Route 20 pump station would cost about $3 million less than relocating it.
