The Joshua Hyde Public Library announced Friday that cardholders now have access to two new online databases, expanding the free digital research resources available to town residents.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The library said in a September 19 update that patrons "can now access even more online resources" with a library card, pointing to two newly added databases joining its existing digital collection. The library did not detail the subject areas of the new databases in its announcement.

The library's Back to School Scavenger Hunt for children continues through September 30, running as an all-day, self-guided activity for young patrons throughout the month.

COMING UP

The library has a full slate of programming over the next week. Fall Baby Time meets Monday, September 21, from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. for babies and toddlers, followed by Fall Toddler Time on Tuesday, September 22, at the same hour, featuring activities, crafts and story time.

Also on Tuesday, September 22, the library hosts its Afternoon Book Group discussing "The Astral Library" from 1 to 3 p.m., and in the evening, the World Building Book Club for teens and adults discusses "The Night Circus" from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
