Sturbridge Board of Health approved animal inspector, ordered brewery to fix odor problem. The board unanimously approved Michelle Connors as the required annual Animal Inspector at 6:44 p.m., with Chair Linda Cocalis motioning and Dr. Louis Fazen seconding.

Director Kenneth Lacey reported multiple complaints over 18 months regarding Altruist Brewing, with Manuel Rodriguez, owner of the adjacent Sturbridge Flea Market, stating the odors affect his business since January 2025. Brewery owners Jared and Shelby Arpin disputed the nuisance characterization, noting their proper licensing and established business status. The board also unanimously approved a two-year variance for Trail Beach to conduct monthly instead of weekly water quality testing.
